ETA provides strategic support and funding to help its Partner Schools provide rigorous arts training to their students and to leverage the arts to deepen students' academic learning and college readiness.
ETA runs the following programs in the schools it serves:
THE 4-YEAR PLAN
ETA collaborates with the principal of each Partner School to develop a 4-Year Plan for the school's arts program, which ETA then supports with an annual grant. Funds may be used to pay for staff professional development, curriculum development, class field trips, artist residencies, and the purchase of arts equipment and supplies.
TONY BENNETT ARTS ACCESS GRANTS
ETA helps provide teachers with critical resources and funds their innovative classroom arts projects.
* supported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts
ETA places students as apprentices with professional artists and as interns at arts organizations and cultural institutions during after-school, weekend, and summer hours. Participating students additionally receive one-on-one mentorship from ETA program staff and partake in group meetings and field trips with fellow students in the program.
SUSAN'S SUMMER SCHOLARSHIP
ETA awards scholarships to rising 11th and rising 12th graders to study at pre-college summer arts programs for teens.
TONY BENNETT COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP
ETA awards scholarships to graduating seniors to help pay for their freshman year at four-year colleges and conservatories.
